Ubersuggest is a free keyword research tool by Neil Patel. This excellent tool gives you search volumes, main and related keywords, and even a list of the top 100 pages that rank for that keyword in SERPs. Therefore, if you are in search of new keywords, look no further.
It goes without saying that using a good keyword suggestion tool is simply a must. Everyone knows about Google Keyword Planner; however, some SEO experts suggest there are beneficial alternatives available. One of them is known as Ubersuggest Free Keyword Suggest Tool. To use it, you do not have to register or sign-in.
Upgraded Ubersuggest is better than ever before
On February 13, 2017, a known SEO expert, Neil Patel, acquired the keyword suggestion tool? Ubersuggest, and soon updated it. It was launched as part of his very own website. What’s important is that the tool shares data that is normally provided by Google Keyword Planner or other paid keyword suggest tools.
Updated Ubersuggest now is much more professional and offers a rich set of features that weren’t available before. It gives you volume data, cost-per-click data, and information about SEO difficulty. The tool also provides you with long-tail keywords.
In addition, Ubersuggest now offers an extremely friendly user interface. Each metric is easy to understand if you hover your mouse over question marks next to them, you can get a simple explanation of the meaning of the number.
Ubersuggest Review
To begin using the Ubersuggest keyword tool, you simply need to enter a domain or a keyword (or a key phrase). Simple, right? What is more, you can choose the preferred region if you like. Then just click the Search button to begin the adventure.
The keyword research tool then provides some essential scores. Each of them are explained below:
- Search Volume. This metric describes how many times your entered keyword is searched per month.
- SEO Difficulty. This number describes the competition rate in organic search. The higher the number, the harder it will be to rank for it in organic search.
- Paid Difficulty. This number explains the competition rate in paid search. Again, the higher the number, the harder it to rank.
- Cost Per Click (CPC). Describes average price per click to be seen in Google as an ad for that keyword. The high price means valuable keywords.
Below these scores you get a nice graph demonstrating monthly search volume trends for that keyword.
Keyword suggestions include essential metrics
Finally, we reach the actual keyword ideas – the Suggestions section. Clicking “View all keyword ideas” provides a full list of suggestions. Ubersuggest delivers keywords, monthly search volumes, Cost Per Click rates, and competitive rates in paid and organic searches.
If you wish, you can filter the keyword suggestions by entering preferred MIN and MAX rates for search volumes, paid or SEO difficulty, and CPC. Moreover, you can refine your search even more precisely by altering Include Keywords and Exclude Keywords options. Excellent!
Another feature I appreciate is the Related keywords tab. Here, you can find ideas that do not include all of the keywords you entered but have a similar or the same meaning. You can always find some nice additions to talk about in your content you might haven’t thought of before.
Clicking on any of the keywords displays the top 100 websites ranking for it in Google (in other words, sites that appear in the first 10 pages of search results). You can also see the estimated number of user visits the page gets from that particular keyword, the number of social shares, and even the domain authority score.
Copy or export data to CSV
Now that you have discovered hundreds of great keyword ideas, you might want to save them somewhere. Ubersuggest allows exporting them to CSV file (including all data about the keywords) or copying only the keywords list to the clipboard.
Unfortunately, you cannot export the full top 100 sites ranking for that keyword – for some reason, the CSV reports generated for me contained from 7 to 20 results only.
Analyze your competitors
Ubersuggest also allows you to see domain overview reports, so you can enter your competitor’s domain and see how it is doing. For example, we took Neil Patel’s website.
It is clear that the data isn’t 100% accurate, but it definitely gives some useful insights. You can see the number of organic keywords the website ranks for, the estimated organic traffic gets based on organic keywords, the number of paid keywords, and the paid ad cost.
Next, we get a neat table showcasing the domain’s traffic over the last 7 months. In other words, you can see the ups and downs for your competitors.
Although the tool didn’t display domain score, the number of backlinks, and referring domains at the time of writing this review, we definitely wait for these features to go live. However, you can see an estimated organic traffic value.
Next, Ubersuggest provides what positions the site typically takes in search results for its organic keywords and the top SEO pages for that specific domain.
However, what interests us the most is keywords, right? We are here for the competitor’s keywords. We can even see top keywords by country, and this way discover which country the top visitors are located.
Verdict: Ubersuggest is one of the best keyword research tools
In conclusion, Ubersuggest offers a nice set of features for free whereas other tools suggest them in premium versions. It is a highly recommended tool when it comes to keyword suggestion tools. In addition, it doesn’t ask you to register or sign in, which also makes this tool even more preferable. There is no wonder why it makes it to our top free keyword research tools list.
